This is such a fulfilling experience! The organization has nothing but great intentions to help these sweet children! We love this experience. We have gone 3 times now. We feel like the children are our children for the week. We love and miss them. We are able to do a lot of good while we are there. It is great to get the Mexico experence also. We work hard, have fun, and eat GREAT FOOD!!!!!

Our family of 6 traveled with ACHF to Rancho de los ninos, Mexico, in Dec 2018 and we haven't stopped talking about the life changing experience since our return. I was quite aprehensive about serving in an orphanage, with so many opportunities for abuse or misapropriation of funds or mismanagement. But what we saw and what we did on a daily basis with these happy and well loved children removed all my trepidations and I can whole heartedly support ACHF in their fundraising and will highly recommend this organisation to those that wish to directly affect the lives of children and young adults who have little control over their situation. The money you pay goes directly to paying for what YOU eat and use that week as well as paying for a few special meals and activities for the children as well as supplies for projects. There is little to no down-time, if you aren't working, playing, talking, sharing, then that is on you, the activities are as groups but individual effort and connection with the children is up to you. The children are joyful and well cared for with clean living spaces and good access to healthcare and eduation. Thank you ACHF! Already planning next year's visit.

It's almost impossible to adopt children from Mexico. Any family member gets priority always. At the event you are considered you need to live in Mexico a minimum of 3 years before the paper work is final. My understanding is that international adoption has gotten more difficult in the last few years. Some countries have shut down adoption to Americans all together. Sorry I am not the bearer of better news.
