Being from the Bronx, this is a staple for meeting my lady. A nice 45 minute ride from Penn Station on NJ TRANSIT. Amtrak also stops at this station.

Since we live nearby we often use this station when traveling as it is convenient for us plus close to home. It's kept clean too.

Not direct. From Metro, you can get to Penn Station and catch Amtrak for Syracuse.

It always arrives on Track 1 @ Metropark...and it will drop you off to NY penn station...34th street..when you are returning you have to look at the monitor for track number because it varies from NY
The Amtrak Auto Train does not serve the line that Metropark is located, therefore no Auto Trains stop at Metropark Station. This means that you cannot take an automobile on any train at Metropark Station.
My guess would have been that it was fenced off so vehicles could not go to the parking area due to maintenance or because the lot was full, and no more space was left for cars. The gate could have also been down because the parking garages have a fee for entering.
Not too sure about that, but I'd recommend to call NJ transit or Amtrak to acquire the best information necessary.
Walk threw the under path long hallway pass dunkin donuts all the way down you will see steps and the elevator
Metropark Train Station is located at 100 Middlesex Turnpike, Iselin, NJ
For 2 days it will cost you $20. Here is the website: https://www.nexusparkingsystems.com/metro-rates.html
Yes, frequent regularly scheduled train service via New Jersey Transit from Metropark to Newark, NJ.
You don't have to park in the garage for that short time period. You can park in the open parking near pick up and drop off area
Maybe please ask at ticket counter to confirm
From New York Penn station, it's 40 minutes ride.
Trains to Rhinecliff are Amtrak's Empire Service, and all start from New York Penn Station. Cranford is not far, and you can also take NJ Transit from Cranford to New York via Newark and change in New York for Rhinecliff. Alternately, you can take either Amtrak or NJ Transit from Metropark to New York and change there for the Empire Service. Amtrak for the Metropark-New York portion is significantly more expensive.
I think 11.75 dollars not sure but around 12 dollas
It would depend on the day and time of travel also which train you choose, regional or Acela. Give a look to www.Amtrak.com
They have recently reopened. It was an absolute mess with all of those people cramming down one set of stairs to get to the tunnel for all of that time.
Yes there is temporary parking for pick up just outside the station.
Amtrak (for traveling long distances) and NJ Transit (for traveling within NJ) stop at Metropark and there are different tickets for each.
Visit http://www.njtransit.com/sf/sf_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=TrainTo and plug in Metropark to New York Penn Station for the date you want to go and it will give you schedules and prices.
To Penn station Ny its around 11.5. depends on the station u want to go to. Check NI transit website for exact fares for different statiins.

On peak travel days and weekends, allow 15~20 minutes to park, purchase tickets and head to your train platform. Arrive 45 minutes ahead for Amtrak travelers.
I was there last Sat. I was in by 6:11am, and out by 8:45pm and the machine just took $5. So looks to me like the weekend parking is cheaper than weekday parking and there were tons of slots to park at...
Park at metro park.. for kuds train tickets free. Due to turism
