After doing a bodybuilding show, my first priority is finding delicious food. Bärchen beer garden is where I wound up and I must admit, the food was delicious! I enjoyed being able to eat outside on a perfect fall day, the tables were well placed and the outside area was clean and orderly. There was a soccer game going on at the time which seemed to be enjoyed thoroughly by the patrons. I wasn’t there for the game but I still enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the food to go with! The Rueben sandwich was well balanced with strong flavors without any single ingredient being overpowering and the fries were extremely tasty. The pretzels were quite good as well although the traditional twist was a bit over cooked and wound up more pretzel stick crunch level then the normal bite outside abs soft inside. Accompanied with mustard and beer cheese, both were wonderful additions to both types of pretzel.

How long has this place been open? And when is the least busy time to go down there I really do hate Benson and all the people who live there so I'd like to not have a crowd.

If you're not too keen on Benson but want a German beer garden feel, might I suggest Crescent Moon? But to answer your question, it's been open for about 4 years now and it won't be too busy around noon on weekends or very early dinner hours (think suppertime)
