I am a new resident here at The Madison Apartments and so far so great! The grounds are kept immaculately, with nice views of greenery from my windows. The office and maintenance teams are kind and responsive. Neighbors are kind, also, respectful, and quiet. A pleasant place to live.

My boyfriend & I lived here for just under a year and unfortunately ran into countless problems during our entire lease. We had a total of 27 maintenance requests, not including emergency phone calls. Move in day (middle of July), we didn’t have working AC, the apartment was not cleaned well at all, (Tupperware left behind from previous tenant for one example), and there was a strong chemical-like odor in the whole apartment. An ozone machine was brought in to air it out - it didn’t do anything. Eventually we had to take it upon ourselves to buy supplies to control the smell. (Still don’t know what the smell even was). The dryer made a noise so loud we couldn’t run it at night without the neighbors hearing it. This went on for months until it was replaced. The carpet was ripped, kitchen floor was scuffed/laminate chipped off everywhere - everything just looked so bad. A couple months later our AC went out again and we had to make other housing accommodations for 3 days until it was fixed. Toilets never worked properly, had a pipe burst in the water heater that soaked the entire laundry room which technically was no one’s fault other than the fact that everything is SO OLD), kitchen sink had a leak twice that required 4 maintenance visits before it was fixed - which led to water coming up through the floor and mold in the cabinets. The floor & cabinets were never repaired or dried with the dehumidifier that was never brought to us. There were also several times when our water was shut off in the middle of the day without any notice. We both got up for work one morning to shower/use the sinks, etc. and couldn’t. A heads up would have been nice. We are both pretty easy going people - never wanted to cause any tension or create problems, & had very reasonable requests as far as maintenance & other things here and there, but the majority of the staff always seemed so bothered/annoyed, & didn’t seem to care about any of our issues. It took days for maintenance issues to be repaired. I understand that there are tons of other units that also needed work done, but 2 maintenance people is not enough for a complex that big. I get that things can break unexpectedly, and this isn’t anyones fault, however; the appliances, thermostat, plumbing, etc. are ancient - which was likely the cause of all the issues. Almost all of our problems could have been fixed just one time had they been worked on by people who specialize in those particular areas. Not a standard maintenance staff “repair”. There is little to no communication between the office, maintenance & tenants, and any maintenance request put in seemed like an inconvenience to the staff. The pool & gym were nice amenities, the area is quiet & in a convenient location, & the apartment itself aside from all the problems was fine. It could be a really decent place with some upgrades, but unfortunately we had an awful experience here and would not recommend it.

If you have lost your keys, you may have new keys made at our office during business hours for a small fee.
If you are locked out during business hours, you can come to the office to be let back in your apartment or garage. Please do not call emergency maintenance. You must call a locksmith if you are locked out after normal business hours.

We require a 60-day written notice, which you are responsible for, prior to move-out. If you need to move-out at the end of your lease term, please remember to come in 60 days prior to the lease expiring to provide your written notice.
Yes, if someone is temporarily staying with you, please let the office know so we can accommodate for parking. If someone is permanently moving in, they will need to fill out an application to be added to your lease agreement.
You may call the office, send an e-mail, or leave a message with the answering service. You may also submit work orders online if you are enrolled in our online services.
If you love our apartments and your friend wants to move to The Madison, please let our office know! However, we do not have a resident referral program.
Yes, service members can break their lease without penalty in certain circumstances through the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). Please contact the property manager as soon as possible in this situation. You will need to provide written notice and a copy of your military orders.
Yes, if the lease buy-out fee has been paid. A 60-day notice is required before vacating your apartment, and the lease buy-out fee range from $1000 to $1800, depending on the unit. Please make sure that you reference your signed lease agreement and confirm policies with your Property Manager as there could be unique circumstances.
Up to 2 pets, cats or dogs, are allowed. For any number of pets there is a $350 non-refundable pet fee for 1 pet, or $450 non-refundable pet fee for 2 pets, and monthly pet rent is $25 per pet. Our full pet policy can be viewed HERE.
You can pay rent by setting up your online account on our website. This allows you to use a bank account (no fee) or credit card (with fee) to make payments.
Rent is always due on the first; however, if you do not pay all rent on or before the 5th day of the month, youll pay a late charge of 5% of the rental payment or $15.00, whichever is greater.
