I got notice of a missed interview when they never called me back. I've called four times now to try to reschedule the interview and they never answer and they never return the calls.

No clients in office and still can't answer their phones lmao .
Brandi B
Trying to help my grandmother for her snap benefits, she had a phone interview set up on a certian date and time, no one ever called for the phone interview and then she got a paper in the mail stating they missed the phone interview. CANNOT get ahold of anyone via phone because i think the operator is non-existant or lazy

If you think this office is bad try the one in Chicago. At least here they get you in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. In Chicago make sure you pack a lunch cause you'll be there all day.
The best option is to come in as soon as the office opens (830am). That way you will get in and out of the office quickly
how do I go about getting my mom on Medicaid ,before we get her into a nursing home in Decatur Il,?
Go online to abe.illinois.gov
Yes
You can apply online and then they will send you a letter letting you know anything else they need for you to turn in.
you have to renew your benefits. if you can't get through to them on the phone. stop by the office and tell them you need to renew before your benefits runs out
If you receive TANF (cash) assistance, DHS will potentially help to get your car fixed, but not to purchase a vehicle.
The policy changes a couple of weeks ago. Now you can only get Link cards on Mon, Wed and Fri from 8:30-11:30 AM.
Only the person or members within the household listed in the case that applied for SNAP benefits are able to use benefits
Go to your local office and talk to your caseworker
Call on Tuesday but if you can be there about 8:15 Tuesday morning you'll be in and out of there quickly.
Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's from 10:30a-11:30a and 1p-4p

December "36"? Definitely closed.
Unsure
You can by speaking with any member at snap office. My understanding is that the SNAP benefit will remain in place for six months after he's removed from the program however I could be wrong about this this is just information I've Been Told
