Sorry for the bad review, but the staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. If someone doesn't want to work with the public they shouldn't.

DMV is Great ! I had to call DMV today about getting an abandoned vehicle title and had the pleasure of talking to Miss Janice P., I was dreading this but she was very knowledgeable and walked me thru the paper work with ease, I wish all call centers worked this way, you are a great asset to DMV, I can't thank you enough for all of your help, take care !

Absolutely terrible service. I walked in, to talk to the front desk clerk to ask if we still required appointments and she completely ignored my question and carried on to say the line starts back there. Why do I have to wait in line to ask if appointments are required. Please, to save your sanity; goto a different DMV. This place will put you in a mental hospital

Its only crowded on Tuesdays and Thursdays and maybe sometimes on Saturdays. For the most part Monday Wednesday and Friday are appointment only. I hope this helps you! 😊
No I do apologize but you half to have an appointment. Thank you..
Go to dmv.virginia.gov, and follow the instructions to establish an account. You will need a valid e-mail address to complete the process.

They have a process that they can help you with at the DMV. You will need to talk with somebody knowledgeable there. They will help you research the title and they will be able to print a new one, however you will need to be able to prove ownership in order for that to happen. There is an obscure way, which is called, I think, an abandoned vehicle. The process takes several weeks because they have to send a registered letter to the last address on file for the owner and when it is not responded to you can claim ownership and they will give you a new title. It's something you have to handle in person at the DMV and you will have to have an experienced person there help you. That's because it is not something they deal with everyday and the newer folks will not be familiar with the processes. Since you live out of state, I would suggest that you contact the Virginia DMV directly by phone and see what they suggest to do. You may want to speak with the equivalent Department in NV.
You should contact them directly for that info, but I believe that it has to be your legal residence, unless you are away at school (for example) and temporarily your legal address is different than your residence. Typically you have a short period of time after moving to update your info with the DMV.
What? You renew your license plates prior to the date shown on the stickers and they send you new stickers. Unless that's not your question. It's hard to tell without you being more clear.
