No words just terrible. They gave me a 10 day notice to vacate as a form of retaliation because I had to threaten the local news team and the CU tenants union for them to come out and “fix” a mold issue. The 10 day notice I got about 17 days ago lol. I now feel like they are trying to make me miss a court date because they are scared of the law. I haven’t heard a word back from them. I even called their attorney to make sure I don’t miss one. All they did was bleach it and tell me they are going to paint with “mold removing” paint. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

THEY DO NOT RESPECT LEASES. PREPARE FOR PEOPLE TO ENTER YOUR APARTMENTS WHENEVER THEY LIKE AND HAVE KEYS ALL OVER THE PLACE. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Multiple times, fairlawn allowed people to walk into not only my unit but the rest of my building with no notice. They never took responsibility and blamed every instance on the other party. I’ve spoken to these people who came without notice and they provided detailed explanations that fairlawn was really responsible. DO NOT RENT WITH FAIRLAWN. They refused to let us out of our lease despite the fact they agreed it was a safety concern. They take advantage of people and will absolutely disrespect you.

The maintenance team visited today and I had to request them to atleast put a tape on the gaps. They said that the doors will have to be replaced. So, unless that happens - for our entire lease, we will NOT be able to close completely or open the balcony doors for ANY of the rooms and will have to live with these gaps and wood around the house! You have wasted way too much of our time going back and forth, adding to the bad experience of already living in a damaged apartment. For continuous 2 months till now, we have had to be behind your team to fix so many issues in this house. Our basic rent is more than other tenants who have much less amount even with rent and electricity cap. 1) The gaps in these of nonfunctional doors that we will have to live with gaps until end of the lease, amounting to high electricity bills and being in a completely locked house. The lease terms warrant a functional unit and not a unit with damaged parts. 2) The smell of this house and the number of issues we faced since the last 2 months, from leaking sink to leaking bathroom, damaged refrigerator and broken parts in the house. 3) The entire 2 months of time we have had to spend going back-n-forth here in these email chains with you. These issues have hampered our living here for 2 WHOLE MONTHS!!! and we will have to live in this for 10 MONTHS!! We have visited Smile office 5 times till now with no outcome. This is unacceptable!

Been working with them on renting a property for several weeks now. Couldn’t get pictures or a tour until yesterday. Saw the pictures, paid 50 dollars, passed a background check, and accepted the terms. Got a congratulatory text and asked for the documents only to get a call today saying never mind we can’t rent it out right now. This is after passing up multiple places over the last two weeks. Now I’m 9 days from what was supposed to be my move in date with no where to go. This is garbage and at the very least I should get my 50 dollars back. Not impressed
