Norfolk greyhound takes you wherever you desire. There is also an Amtrack station at Harbor Park that also takes you places, mostly North though.

Check the prices for MegaBus. They have a progressive scale depending on when the trip is booked.

That would've been greatly helpful at least if you have a genuine need for help. I once had a rough lot with the station supervisor at where I had to miss a bus because I do not have a 10 dollars cash as extra charge for a late bus. The Greyhound supervisor was worst for it. I had to literarily beg but my plea fell on deaf ears, i was delayed from 11.00am till 3pm and that single action cost me my flight out of the States, onen extra night at Washington DC airport and an additional $255 in air ticket for next available trip. It was the worst trip I ever had out in my life.

Sorry to say Greyhound no longer goes to Danville Va. The closest Greyhound can get to Danville is Lynchburg Va., or Raleigh NC.
