very rude when i called to ask a simple question
Brooklyn Kamara
Kirk Rodgers has severely traumatized my family when my grandmother was in the hospital he had the audacity to call my family to point fingers about why my grandmother was admitted to the hospital, he pointed fingers at everyone even said she’s just old……yes I understand my grandmother had health problems, yes I understand she was old, yes I understand she was on dialysis but does that mean she should die? This administrator is in the wrong profession, health care is not where he belongs. You can’t not call why there at there loved ones bedside trying to complain and throw people under the bus but yet want us to return her back to your facility. He clearing got his point across and that point being heads in the beds and bump quality of care.

Pros: 1. regular scheduled care plan review; 2. the majority of the staff is engaging and personable; 3. Ashley Wilkins, the case worker quickly responds to my concerns regarding the care of my mother; 4. the new ADON is attentive, responsive to my questions and concerns. Area of Improvement: 1. overall room cleanliness and maintenance-the floors aren't cleaned regularly; trash stayed underneath my mother's bed even after I pointed it out; also her shoes were wedged underneath the bed; the bathroom is often dirty with no paper towels. The water only trickles out of the faucet. Her closet and drawer spaces are literally falling apart. She can't watch TV because the remote is either broken or has no battery. 2. overall hygiene-more regular head to toe washing of my mother; regular hair combing and teeth brushing, etc. Bottom line: I think the Brian Center Hertford is one of the better nursing homes and I manage my expectations accordingly.

I have had family members in nursing home/rehab facilities over the years. The most recent is the Brian Center in Hereford. Now I don’t want to really say anything bad about this place, but in comparison to others, this place seems to be a little subpar. I say that because a lot of the staff there just does not really seem to care. You can tell that they are only there for a check. I wanted to have my relative moved out of that place. So one day I go in for a visit, and my aunt was in pretty good spirit. It was nice to see her smile. You know, I have to take something I said earlier back. There is the wound nurse with red hair, I cannot think of her name, but she seems to be very genuine. My aunt seems to like her, and she was very professional. Outside of her, I can’t say much for everyone else there. I wish I could recall her name, but she is a needle in the haystack. She put my mind at ease a bit. I’m still not sure how long we will have our relative there, but at least I know there are still compassionate people in the world, thank you for all that you do Ms. Wound Nurse with the Red Hair (I’m sorry I can’t remember your name). They should have more of their staff like you.

There is access to a supply of medication for first dosing at the center that is available while new medication orders are communicated with the off-site pharmacy. Recurring prescriptions are filled by the off-site pharmacy for residents. Consultant pharmacists review each resident's medication list on admission and monthly thereafter to monitor each resident’s individual medication regimen and make recommendations to the physician.
