I love donating here. Never a long wait, staff is really nice and they are great at sticking (anyone with wonky veins know how important that is!).

It was my first time giving blood, I'm happy that I could help somebody and yes I would do it again. If you have rolling veins like I do make sure you tell them what you're going to end up with the very ugly bruise

They supply smaller hospitals. I tried to donate but they made it so inconvenient by wanting to play phone tag and have a phone interview, I just gave up and went to the Red Cross. I know they are trying to expand, but making donating blood inconvenient and difficult to schedule wasn't the right avenue for me.
I am a CPR instructor for Houston Co. Board of Ed. through A. R. C. I have had teachers and other professionals that do not work for HCBOE ask me about joining classes that I have scheduled for our school system. Is there a way to assist them? Help

They don't pay donors. If you want to be paid, you need to find a plasma bank (not regulated like the Red Cross).

Most days, the first donation appointments are at 9:15am.
