I have been a "Christian", a God lover, and a Jesus follower since I was saved at 9, but at the age of 56, a life changing journey began for me when in the deepest despair of my life, a dear friend recommended the program at Rock House Center. Jesus says in John 16:33 that “in this world you will have trouble, but take heart for I have overcome the world.” This verse does say in this life we will have troubles. This verse does not say we have overcome the world or the troubles of the world--it says Jesus has! So when troubles come, or when we have struggles that span decades and hurts that we are convinced we can't survive, our only hope to overcome is in and through Jesus. But, the truth is, on our best days many of us aren't equipped to dig through all of our "stuff", to experience true heart change, and to live the overcoming and victorious life offered through Jesus. Through the program at Rock House Center, the work of the Holy Spirit, lots of prayer, and with the help of an amazing counselor, I began a biblical and spiritual journey to forgiveness, healing, and transformation that will better equip me to face the challenges of this road called life. The journey does not end when you complete your counseling at RHC. But, the knowledge and tools you gain from this program will strengthen your foundation in Christ, and you will continue to build on that foundation for the rest of your life!
