If they can't locate the person we would have to do a complaint/publication divorce. We charge $500 for our fees and $325 that goes towards court filing fees. Then we have to use a process server to try to find the person which is $125 (due diligence search) and then it must publish in the papers once per week for 4 weeks, which is normally around $200 but can be higher. The plaintiff would also complete a 5 page affidavit of what they have done to find the person which is quite detailed. We divide the payments into the 4 payments to be helpful and have free notary services for our clients. Please let me know if there is anything else I can answer or you can call at 775-322-5357.
You would want to contact the Family Court in the county that it was filed in. Some counties have forms on the internet to complete and mail with a research payment.
Yes. It’s $5. Thanks
It depends if both parties are agreeing to the terms of the divorce and are willing to sign papers. If so, we have a questionnaire to complete giving us the information to type the papers at www.nevadadivorce.net. We charge $300 and then we file all of the papers with the court after the signing. The court has a filing fee so there is a second payment that goes towards that of $325. Once filed the judge normally grants the divorce in about a week. Let me know if you have any others questions. Thanks Victoria 775-322-5357.
Oftentimes you would have a mediation to try to work out the issues. If not then it would be set for trial so it is hard to say a specific time period as it would based on the Judge's calendar.
