I searched all over for SHO eyeglasses but I could not find them anywhere. I saw they had the frames I wanted online so I booked an appointment and they were able to fill my prescription. The optician was precise when fitting me and doing all the measurements. I was very happy with the service. After I went across the street for lunch to support another small local business.

Excellent service. Anna is very kind, helpful and very knowledgeable with what she’s doing. Will definitely come back here with my parents to repair their glasses and to get new ones. Lots of nice glasses to choose from to stand out. Not your typical same styles you see at other eyeglass stores. Thanks again.

I travel often for work and I needed my glasses adjusted. After she finished, I kid you not, it was the most comfortable my glasses ever felt on my face. I inquired about safety glasses because our workers have been asking for something better. She impressed me on her knowledge about safety eyewear so I have her coming out to our company next week to fit our crew. I recommend other companies use her services even if it’s just to get her out there to adjust or repair glasses. As for me, I’m getting a new prescription next week so Anna can make new glasses for me.

Our company is impressed with Anna’s professionalism and knowledge. We have a business account set up and Anna comes out to provide us with her optician services. It’s fantastic since it makes it convenient for our employees. I highly recommend other companies utilize her services, especially if your employees need computer or safety prescription glasses. I plan on coming to her office to make my personal glasses since she takes United Health Care. It’s wonderful working with someone who loves glasses the way Anna does.

Questions & Answers

Do you repair scratches or peeling coating on lenses? I have a few pairs from Costco but they can’t fix them.

Although we can remove scratches by buffing and polishing them out, doing so would negatively alter the prescription. We do not remove scratches for this reason. As far as removing defective AR coatings, we do offer these services. You can book an appointment to bring them in or mail them in. If you have any further questions, we’ll be more than happy to assist!

Do you replace lenses for existing glasses? I lost one of the lenses and need it replaced.

Hi Lisa, Depending on the frame condition, yes we do. Our recommendations depend on whether they're ophthalmic frames or sunglasses. For prescription eyeglasses, it is usually recommended to replace both lenses on the same time to ensure the same materials/lens add-ons match. If there are changes to your prescription, it would be a great time to get everything updated all at once. For sunglasses, we recommend replacing both lenses at the same time to ensure the lens colors match. You may send us a photo via email or bring them in person. You can book an appointment at your convenience if you plan on bringing them in person. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask away! We look forward to assisting you in the future!

I have Medicare but no vision coverage. I need golfing sunglasses in prescription. My son has medi-cal but they don’t cover glasses. Is there any discount?

Hi Michel, We understand the frustration of not having any coverage towards eyeglasses, which is why we have our own funding which we have put towards providing benefits to those with Medicare and Medi-Cal, including adults. You may view those benefits at https://wattswerks.com/pages/medi-cal-and-medicare-patients. Typically, Medicare only provides vision coverage post cataract surgery, and Medi-Cal covers routine eye exams and eyeglasses to those under 21 years of age. For adults, there is no coverage for eyeglasses, but there's no need to worry about that now. We do require you to provide your medi-cal/medicare card, state ID, and a valid prescription. Hope this helps and feel free to contact us directly if you have any further questions. Have a great day!

Do you take Eyemed?

Laura Thompson | Oct 16, 2019

Hi Laura, We are considered out of network with Eyemed, however, we include an insurance adjustment in our fees to offset what you would have received in network. Patients have been successful at contacting Eyemed about their vision insurance benefits and electronically submitting an out of network reimbursement form. We provide an itemized invoice to any patient needing to submit a claim to insurance providers, HSA, and FSA. Patients have reported to us that they have received their reimbursement checks within 2 weeks. If you have any further questions, we will be more than happy to assist!
