I've had my knives sharpened before usually at shoe repair that also sharpens knives. The sharpening has always been ok. Sometimes they feel sharp and sometimes I barely notice a difference. Took them to Northwestern Cutlery for the first time. Brought in 4 knives and waited in the store, maybe 15-20 minutes. What a difference. There are those who say they know what to do and there are those who really know what to do. The knives has never been sharper. No more fooling around taking knives to someone who says they will sharpen them. There is only one place I will go to and tell my friends to go to for knife sharpening and that's Northwestern Cutlery. And they only charge $4.00 a knife including one that has an 11 inch blade that I usually had to pay extra for at other places.

I'm not sure but they do have a very wide selection of stones and accessories. I'd check them out if you have time, otherwise call mid day and they may be able to answer your question directly
