Best doctor in the world. No words. This man saved my life !!!!!

Giving two stars because the doctor wasn’t bad however the office lied to me and told me they accepted my insurance. I say lie because they knew what I was asking when I called to make the appointment. I did some research and found that doctors offices will tell their potential patients that they accept their insurance however, the doctor is not in the network. These are two very different things. As a result of being told the Dr accepted my insurance I went for the visit. Not long after I received a bill for over $1000. $1050 to be exact. After calling the office to dispute the bill, I learned that yes, they do accept my insurance (as out of network) but no, the doctor was not in my network so I had to pay the consultation. Friends, please be aware of this SCAM being done all over the states and do your due diligence. When calling a doctors office, ask if they are IN YOUR NETWORK, not if they accept your insurance. After several calls and follow ups with their billing department, the office conceded and allowed me to only pay the copay I would’ve paid had he been in my network which I appreciated but only seemed fair after they made it seem like he was in my network before I went for my visit. They won’t explain this to you so know the difference and don’t get scammed.

Almost died after a surgery in this medical center. The day after the surgery I bled and passed out on the street after loosing so much blood. My 3-year old and wife were going through a shock after finding me unconscious on the street in lot of blood around me and lot of people around me. I ended up in the hospital nearby, and over there I passed out 3-5 times until the corrective surgery started. It spent 3 days in the hospital and had huge bills to pay. The worst thing is that my wife tried to contact Manhattan Gastroenterology on the day when this happened, so they can brief the doctors in this hospital before this corrective surgery on what has been done, and what possibly caused the internal bleeding. But, the doctors in Manhattan Gastroenterology just ignored us and never returned called back while we were in the hospital. The called back 3 days after with a blocked caller ID, as they were probably scared I will sue them. I still can use them, but still thinking weather to do it or not, as they make you sign so many forms so they don' take any responsibility. They staff and the doctors at Manhattan Gastroenterology seemed nice and kind at the time, but I was immensely disappointed with their non-taking any accountability, and not even returning calls when most needed. And they never hesitated to charge over 18K for the surgery, and they kept sending bills after more than a year after the surgery.
