Hampton Inn Lagrange near Callaway Gardens

This Hampton Inn is very poor in comparison to most Hampton Inns I have stayed in. I travel for business so I have been to a lot of hampton inns and other hotels. -Check in was fine, I was offered my Diamond membership complimentary water or whatever. -Room had a ok smell but not as fresh as it should have been -The pool was disgusting with appearance of mold /mildew along the sides and the water had a distinctive green algae color. We (my family and I )went to the pool area and immediately went back to our room. I notified the front desk in person the response was "we have had a lot of people in the pool this week" -Secondly there was a car parked beside the pool that a group was using to play loud music most of which was not appropriate for all ages and they were smoking weed. I also explain my concerns about them allowing this unsafe activity. They responded we will take care of it and more than 2 hours later when the pool closed at 10pm the group left the pool. -breakfast was not a pleasant experience either. We were told by the lady managing the breakfast area "Im not going to put out any additional forks or knives because I have been at this for 3 hours and breakfast ends at 10am" Ok we were there at 930 along with 5 or so other paying guest. She did not say they were out of forks etc she said she's not putting any more out. Seriously? If she worked for me she would be unemployed! - at checkout I could not find any one at the front desk to explain this situation too so I just left my keycard and started the trip home. -lastly even with hilton honors diamond discount this room was near $200. This room and hotel experience was worth $75. There are lots of hotels I could have stayed at and expected this kind of service I truly recommend not staying at this location, as for me and my family we will not. The 2 stars are for a good checkin experience and nothing else.

The tile floor was very slippery, felt almost slimy. shower was good. Beds were reasonably comfortable. we felt like the room could’ve been much cleaner. Barn door on the bathroom was very heavy & not easy to open. that seemed like a bit overkill for what the room was. if your going to put $$ into something, replace the nasty flooring.

It's covid, people aren't coming to work and stuff happens - but the stay was not very good. The rooms were assigned and we checked in but missing linens and the bathroom wasn't cleaned yet. The second room was missing linens but we knew that as they made us aware before we came up. In the morning there was not much for breakfast as apparently the kitchen employee didn't show up. I realize that they can't control the dryer breaking or employees calling out sadly.

Staff was great but the room was pretty gross. Besides the bed, it didn’t look like the room had been cleaned prior to my arrival. There was dirt in the shower and lukewarm water. The vent was filthy. If you get a room near the elevator, you may want to try to switch. It was extremely loud and I had a hard time falling asleep.
