This is my happy place! A delight to visit. Amazing selection, and the staff really know their stuff.

My wife loves it. She had specific needs for the garden and they had several plants for each area. Prices were good and quality and selection was very good!

First off, their website is a dream come true if you're looking to check their plant list before you go. Their plant list PDF's are the best I have seen by any native nursery I have ever researched or been to. I was able to streamline my list by Latin name and wetland status. Not having to wade through endless cultivars and non-native species (like you tend to find at "big box" nurseries) was such an amazing help for my project of restoring some native habitat at work. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff helped me acquire plants by Latin name to ensure I was gathering the exact species I wanted. Knowing that the staff understood what I was looking for by species and wetland status, as well as understanding why I was trying to avoid cultivars, made me feel super confident in their guidance and my purchase. Tags on plants all included Latin names. They also helped me tie down my tarp above the bed of my truck to mitigate wind damage on my hour-long drive back! Lastly, they were easily able to honor my organization's tax-exempt status, and gave clear instructions on how to set up an account with them to streamline future purchases. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking to restore some habitat at home or for work, whether you're a beginner or a pro!

We currently have Swamp White Oaks (Quercus bicolor), Burr Oaks (Quercus macrocarpa), and Shumard Oaks (Quercus shumardii) in stock. We will have Red Oak (Quercus rubra) and Chinkapin Oak (Quercus muehlenbergii) in the fall. You can find our availability list with sizes and pricing online at sciotogardens.com/availability
Thank you for contacting us. We do not sell the Yulon Magnolia. We specialize in native plants. We encourage you to check out our web site at www.sciotogardens.com to view our online store and current availability.
Sorry we do not sell Christmas trees. We have a few very small spruce that someday will make nice Christmas trees. They are currently about 2 feet tall in 3 gallon containers. These trees are about 2-3 years old. We are currently closed for the season and only open by appointment. Please call us at (740) 363-8264 to schedule an appointment. We reopen with regular business hours on April 1rst.
Yes we do.
Sorry, at this time we do not sell any bamboo species.
There are many plants with the common name Rue. We do not carry Ruta graveolens commonly known as rue, common rue or herb-of-grace, which is cultivated as a medicinal herb. It is native to the Balkan Peninsula. We do carry Rue Anemone (Anemonella thalictroides), a lovely spring blooming flower and an Ohio native.
