My husband and I have been searching for "authentic" German cuisine since returning from our trip to Germany/Austria last year. Unfortunately we're in an area of the country that doesn't have much to offer. On our recent visit to his parents in Bradenton FL, I was looking to see what was in the area. I saw the appetizer Flammkutchen. We'd had that at Heidelberg Castle, and I've not seen it on any other German restaurant menu. So, I said that's the one we're going to try! I can say it was absolutely worth the 45 minute drive!!!! We brought his parents with us, and of course they loved the food too. But for my husband and I it brought back such fun memories of spending 2.5 weeks in Germany & Austria. Thank you for an enjoyable evening! We'll come back for sure and we'll plan it when you have live music π

What a delightful surprise! The food and service was very good. We a big fans of German cuisine from up north and we came upon Sandra's on line. Very well rated and lived up to their reputation. Great selection of German beers on tap. We had three entres instead of apps as we wanted to enjoy their Spaitzel with cheese. Great idea as it is a traditional dish in Germany and Belgium. Just awesome π. Looking forward to going back for the lunch buffet specials and dinner again with friends.

When I made the reservation Sandra was so upbeat and personable, I just knew I had to try this place. My neighbors, from Babcock Ranch, joined me and off we went. The restaurant decor and atmosphere were phenomenal. There is a Biergarten outside but the weather was a bit too cool for us to enjoy it. We arrived about 45 minutes earlier than expected but no problem, the hostess seated us and the fun was just beginning. I had a liter of beer, my lady friends had a beer and an iced tea. The buzz in the room was upbeat and the laughter so enjoyable. We started with the Kraut Balls, a double order, and loved them!!! They were served with a horseradish sauce that was not overpowering, rather, flavor enhancing. Next came the main course. The special looked delicious but I had Jaeger Schnitzel with German Potato Salad and Spatzle. Fantastic. One neighbor had the same except she had potato pancakes instead of spatzle, and we shared the cakes and potato salad tastes with each other. Utopia. If you miss the opportunity to dine at this restaurant then I guess that means more for me!! Donβt forget the apple strudel for dessert!!! Sandra, thank you for a great evening and everything was absolutely fantastic. We will be back. Next time with a whole bunch of people! Xoxo

We absolutely loved Sandra's! We returned two days later and brought family with us! My boyfriend was born in Germany. The food was very similar to what his mom prepared! If you are new to German food, we suggest you try their sampler. Each night they feature a different specialty in addition to their full menu. They also offer a selection of German beer and wine. Next time we are in South Florida we will definitely be back!

Depends really how many people order it really, but the other food is good and beer is great
They do have appetizers, not sure about small plates, but the food is excellent. You simply call them.
