Positive: Hotel was easy to find. Negative: Room was described as 2 double beds but when arrived we were told that it was only meant for two people so I was charged $20 more for our children. The room smelled musty and old. There was a half eaten candy bar under the bed from the last visitors.

I would highly recommend the Alpine Inn to anyone wishing to stay anywhere from one night to one week in Pagosa Springs! The staff was unbelievably friendly, and they even gave us a room with a balcony at no extra cost (due to vacancies)! The breakfast was light but absolutely delicious, the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, and the views are excellent! An easy five stars.

In my opinion, if you are looking for a room to fall asleep in, then Alpine Inn is good for that purpose. The toilet is too low. I had to perform a minor plumbing job so the toilet would flush. The sink faucet is loose to the point you can pull it up about 1 inch. There was a 1 inch gap between the bottom of the door and floor. The interior is dated and the bed was hard. This room was #112.

The proprietors are very accommodating, and even go beyond to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. My room was fresh and pleasant, and the lobby area is relaxing. The price is reasonable,, and there is a nice continental breakfast each morning. I was only passing thru town but got stuck due to weather conditions, and they made me feel at home. I will likely return here.
