I think this place is overwhelmed. Hopefully the service improves. It is hard to get a hold of who to talk to it a mail is missing despite paying for tracking and safety of the package.

I've never been to a post office this bad and terrible. Lines long and only 2 staff's and they take their time . If you don't want to work go somewhere else.

New passports and children passports renewal, you have to make appointments online for Valley Stream Post Office, if it is adults renewal that expires less than 5 years ago, you get the application fill it up and mail it.
There are different reasons letters get returned . If you mailed them out first class they will be returned to you with the reason on a yellow sticker .
We were told as security precautions. Although I understand they were re-installed.

Stop into the post office and speak to the quartermaster. He is the only one who can give you an answer.

you would need to make an appointment for passports, new or renewal. they take photos there as well. In terms of what to bring in, not too sure, I believe appropriate documents for identity and filled out passport form
