Loved this place. The folks were awesome and the park was more than we expected.

Wonderful campground. How ever they are stupid. We booked for 5 days. Arrived 2 days early. Our site was taken soooo they put us one spot over. Identical sites. Then after 2 days we had to move one spot over,to the original site we booked. The off level was horrendous.

With regards to Veterans, if they have a 60% or greater disability, I was told that they get a discount. But, I haven't officially confirmed that. ACCESS PASS holders receive a 50% discount on all stays, at ALL Louisiana State Parks, IF you are a resident of Louisiana and hold a Louisiana drivers license. But there is still the $6 transaction fee no matter how you book (walk up, online, phone) for the first night stay regardless of how many nights in a row you reserve. Max stay is 14 days, then you must vacate the park for at least 7 days. To take advantage of America the Beautiful & Access pass, go to: Store.USGS.gov/pass.
Yep
There is no designated swimming area. No pool, water slide or anything like that.
Yes I believe day rate is $3 per person.

You probably could if you want to pay $25 a day and move it every couple of weeks.
I don't remember right off hand, but I think it was 1pm! I am sure that the lovely folks in the office would be happy to assist you! It is such a beautiful place!
I did attend and outdoor wedding. The ceremony was down near a small body of water and the reception was under a outdoor covered pavilion.
Yes
Yea there are alligators in the river. No problem, kinda neat to watch.
