Good park with lots of playground options for kids of all ages. Nice view of the pond/lake with ducks. Great hike/walk to the top of the "mount" with good views of the city. BBQ options and tables everywhere. Good open grass spaces and tennis courts as well. As others have said, there's lots to do!
I think it's a wonderful place to go to be with family
They are letting people park here tonight,I'm going to assume they're going to let you stay in until the fireworks are done by 11-11:30
They are not, or at least no one said anything to me when i was there...
There are no shelter homes at rising but we do have 3 shelters in Lancaster Ohio. One is on West sixth Avenue, one on east main street by community action and community action has 4 places also on east main street
Very good question,.,as long as it's not dark,,you'll definitely be able to walk!-) Enjoy Beautiful!
I'm not exactly sure it was years ago and I use the small gazebo for a wedding you can call the parks and recreation department and they would let you know
Yes to bathroom. A couple of sport-a-Potties by playground. Playground may be closed.
Less than a mile
Not a ton of options really for it. I would say if you wanted to do that head to alley park.
There are grills there u put charcoal in. Not sure if its ok to bring your own? I wouldnt see why not though. Perhaps call Lancaster parks and recreation to double check

You don't need to fish there, but you can. I think you're supposed to have a fishing license but the park ranger isn't there often.
You are not allowed on the Mountain when the fireworks go off. The Park is across High St. from the Fairgrounds. The Fairgrounds has the amusement rides & food stands. Fireworks will go off at the Fairgrounds and atop the Mountain. You can only see some of the fireworks in the sky from the park and surrounding areas West. The low ones you can only see from the grandstand or the fence line at the Fairgrounds. Happy July 4th.
Watch from the path at the bear claws, North end. After dark.
