The best camping place...
Gary Loeffel
Each night falling asleep to the waves breaking 200 ft from us was fantastic. Restrooms were super clean and had hot water. Staff was great. My family has been coming here for four generations now.

No
There's no camping on the beach at all and I have never seen any in the parking area, so I doubt it. You need to have a campsite. While most campers reserve their sites well in advance, it's possible to get lucky and get one at the last minute. I suggest you call them in advance after reading the details posted on the website.
Sure
If your looking for the walking dunes you can only access from napague harbor rd. On route 27 before you get to falk in road to old mkt. Hwy.
No
You have to check online via Reserveamerica.com. search for Hither Hills
Yes, you can surf cast from the beach outside of designated swimming area's marked by flags. Tight lines...
Yes, you can surf anywhere outside the flagged bathing area. Nearby Ditch plains Beach is also popular for surfing.
$10 they close at sunset
My 42 ft 5th wheel fits, not all spots though, no hookups
Google RV rentals where you live and rent one and drive/tow it down there
No. Montauk is all beach. You can get relatively close though.
You should buy a tent well before you get anywhere near Montauk. There aren't many resources for outdoor supplies once you get past Amagansett
no fires allowed during Summer season.
Some camp sites are so so private campfires have no idea
Yes they have lifeguards on duty. Safe areas where you should swim as well.
No only if you get a campsite for a small fee but availability this time of year is hard but you can go daily it is a wonderful place spent lots off time there
No cAmper needed, great place to spend the day.pay the fee and enjoy beach is beautiful
I would have immediately said no. But have only been to camping, bathing and picnic area for years. It is absolutely no there, has been for many years. If there are other areas, where dogs are allowed, i have not been there. Chris Saccardi seems to have good information.
No wifi. No cell signal either. It's the sort of place one goes to get away from the fast pace of everyday living. If you need cell service you have to drive into town to get it.
