We had a wonderful time at the Community Arts Center where we saw ZZ Top. The ushers were very helpful and friendly. This venue holds around 2000 and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The acoustics were great and there is lots of parking nearby. And by the way...ZZ Top was fantastic.

Saw ZZ Top there. Great place to see a concert.

It's a beautiful building inside and out. They continue to bring first class entertainment to the area. Truly a family centered venue.

Tiny seats but great time!

Thanks for asking. The CAC pit is classified as an elevator. So it can be at stage level, floor level and down a floor for musicians or band. For some shows we use the pit as a dance floor, but when it is seated we offer 50 pit seats across three rows.
No its not. Its Rodger and Hammerstein Broadway show.
Just pass the community arts center at the red light turn left and there's a parking lot on the right hand side. We park there all the time.
We stayed at the Hampton inn less than two blocks away . Even with my bad knees it was an easy walk. Next door to a grocery store and two restaurants
Hi Marsha, thanks for your inquiry. We have a short-term parking area directly in front of the theatre where patrons can be dropped off/helped inside while others find a parking place, then picked up after the performance via the same method. In addition, there are multiple parking lots nearby with accessible parking spaces, and some accessible on-street parking when available. If you need further details or have other questions, please don't hesitate to call our Box Office at (570) 326-2424 and someone can assist as necessary.
Hi Edward. For Uptown shows, it's almost always General Admission. That's the format that they prefer, so that's how the ticketing is set up. Hope that helps!
Usually an hour ahead of show time
There was a beauty school in the offices that made up the facade of the old Capitol Theatre. Those offices, that part of the building, actually predated the Capitol Theatre and was part of a hotel that stood on this site. In the 1993 renovation, they hoped to save that part of the building but in the end, it had to be demolished. The outer lobby and offices above it are all new as of the 1993 renovation. So technically the beauty school part of the building is gone but there once was a beauty school at this address.
There are several graduations starting Friday. The time depends upon the school. But yes they are here at the Center. You would need to check with the College to know which school graduates when. CHK
Thanks for reaching out! Please call the Box Office at 570-326-2424 and they should be able to direct your call in the right direction.
Not big at all! I'm only 5'2.5" and felt cramped.
Most events we open the house (seating area) 30 minutes before the start of the event. Some shows require us to 1 hour before the start of the event.

Thanks for asking the question, we can seat over 2,100 in the theatre.
I have no idea, However, you can find out what is showing, will be showing, or on tour or will be on tour out front of on the wall. They keep that up to date every year. Or just ask at the front desk for info on what you would like to know when it's open.
Plenty! bullfrog brewery and moon and raven are right across the street, barrel 135 is a block to the south. Ozzi and Mae's, old corner, boom city brewery, and Franco's are within a few blocks.
