My son goes to visit a friend nearby. Usually not ready for an hour or so after we get there to pick him up. ๐๐งก We walk around this area while waiting for him. Great little getaway from the hustle and bustle. Peaceful. Lots of elderberry trees and staghorn sumac among a diverse landscape.

This is my favourite place to take my kiddo and dog for a peaceful escape in nature. We get to see rabbits, marmots, quail, deer, and so many squirrels. Gorgeous trails! There is a portable restroom and garbage can at the entrance.

Great hiking area close to town. Access to the Little Spokane River and some remnants of the area's history. Very kid friendly area.

Nice, easy, one hour walk. Going clockwise from Leona entrance, some uphill to start with the Little Spokane reached near end. Some forks do not have main trail marked, but a border fence lets you know if you strayed off main trail

On the East side, near the water tower, there are some good climbs and drops. The lower end, by the river, is flatter and more scenic.
I've seen deer, squirrels, bald eagles, and owls. There are also coyotes, moose, turkeys, foxes, bears in the area but I doubt you would see any of those in this conservation area. Maybe turkeys.
I've never but could be fun. A big slope though so that might add some challenge.
Yes, I believe they need to be leashed but they are welcome
I don't know exact mileage but honestly not much. Its a short loop around the Conservation Area. But if you want to head off the trails and wander you'll probably have a lot more fun.
You can't fish there but there is a trail where you can go down to the river.
