Their assistant setup our new generator and did an excellent job. They ran a wire from our circuit breaker panel, through the basement ceiling, to a new outlet on our back patio. And Them unpacked and installed the generator and then took the time to instruct me on how to safely use it. Excellent and pleasant service!

That’s why we are SO glad that we were able to find and hire them Contracting! From scheduling a home visit for the quote all the way through to the final project inspection, they and his team have been so easy to work with. Old homes can present many challenges but their team was very adaptive to our needs and made it a point to prioritize our safety and comfort. We were exceptionally pleased with the level of service and quality of their workmanship. More than all that, everyone on the team is very friendly, nice to talk with and they were great at explaining things to us each step of the way. I’ve already shared H&A info with friends and neighbors in the area. You won’t regret using him for your next electrical job!

Turn the breaker completely off and then completely on. Some breakers will look like they are not tripped, but could be in the neutral stage, which still does not allow them to function as if they were completely on. A way to help determine this, is to turn every breaker completely off and then on.
One of the biggest causes of frequent circuit breaker tripping is the overloading of power boards. Most homes and apartments, even newer ones, don’t have enough power points to cater to, for example, a complete home entertainment unit setup. If circuit breakers in your home are tripping frequently, it could be down to circuit overload. Prevent this by: • Never daisy-chain power boards. • Remove devices that aren’t in use (for example, phone chargers still draw power even when not connected). • Spread your electrical needs around. Don’t overburden a single circuit. • Be mindful of how you connect devices around the home – what’s in use, and what is unnecessary. What to do if problems persist If electrical problems are ongoing around your home, you should consider contacting a electrician. Safety around the home is paramount, so don’t leave anything to change. Get in touch with a professional, like H&A NYC Electrician, to help diagnose the problems with your home electricals for peace of mind and safety assurance.
If you have a light switch that no longer works, it needs to be replaced. Unless you are unfamiliar with electrical work, it's wise to bring in a professional. An electrician can help make wiring a light switch hassle-free. He'll also be able to install an upgraded light switch that can make your life a little easier.
If the same breaker trips again and again, call GAC Services. You may have too many electrical appliances and/or devices plugged into the same circuit, resulting in an electrical overload and causing your breaker to trip. Or, you may have a deeper electrical issue on your hands. A GAC electrician will help diagnose your issue and recommend a plan of action to fix your breaker.
This overheating is a serious defect and could cause arcing in the breaker. It should be immediately replaced.
When you are resetting circuit breakers or changing fuses too often. When you turn on your air conditioner and the lights dim in the room. When your lights flicker or go on and off. When you can smell electricity burning. When you have six electronic devices going into one outlet in back of your electronics center. When you have receptacle, outlets overburdened by multi-plug strips. When a three-prong plug needs a two-prong adapter. If you have to run extension cords to plug in electrical devices.
