Great fish store

Feel bad about giving such a poor review as the staff are friendly and pleasant. But the quality of the fish and shellfish is appalling. They say they go once a week to the Fulton market which is not good enough and should have warned us off. But by Thursday when we went, the fish is not fresh enough. The second problem though is even the clam strips we bought were completely flavorless. Presumably they were previously frozen but worse I imagine they wash them in tap water so all the flavor is washed out. I have never had such flavourless clams. Finally on top of everything else the prices are just wrong. They are too high even if the quality was top notch. Plenty of better places to get fresh wild salmon, sushi grade tuna or lemon sole for same or more likely lower prices. So it’s a shame. We had high hopes for a fish market outside the city but this place needs to really revamp itself. At least the staff are friendly.

Social distancing at 50%, masks required for customers and staff, temperature taken when entering restaurant. You can read reviews on Yelp and Google that comment on our safety procedures during covid.
We do not sell them but you could stop in the fish market and ask if they have any shrimp shells from cleaning shrimp. We don’t have lobster shells. We also sell fish stock.
Lobster Rolls are a seasonal item for us so we don’t have them in the winter.
