Wait. What? Soul Food in the Desert? Outstanding food! My wife and I found this place and they have amazing food. We ordered fried chicken, spare ribs, greens, mac & cheese, red beans and rice and corn bread and EVERY item was perfect. Seasoned,cooked right and flavorful! You will not go wrong having a meal from here. The building is a small little place but the food is Fantastic! DO NOT "judge this book by its cover".

I ordered the Fish plate, choose 2 sides of your choice for $15.99 + tax. I only have 2 complaints and they aren't bad complaints... the fish was very favorable, I mean the taste was on point! However it was fried entirely too hard. The red beans and rice was wonderful, they just didn't give me enough for $17. And the Greens were amazing! They gave me plenty of those.... My husband got the rib dinner with Mac n cheese and Yams. I tasted the Yams and they were delicious!!! This place gets 20 stars from me! I'll be back. Not sure why the fish was fried so hard but the next time I order I'll just simply ask them not to fry it so hard for my order.

Thank goodness for Google maps and reviews. We never would have found this hidden gem without it! We called ahead to place our order which was a great time saver. Unfortunately, they were out of most of the things we wanted to order - but what they had…amazing! Cornbread was moist, the fried chicken was amazing! The fried shrimp was the best I’ve ever had. Perfect breading. We had the delicious mac and cheese and the collard greens. Very reasonably priced and 10/10 worth a visits!!

I would give it a 5 , as it’s worth the wait … don’t get setback seeing the restaurant location. The chicken was delightfully delicious. Well crusted , well cooked . It’s run by a very senior gentle man , total respect . Expect around 20-30 min wait as it’s cooked from the scrap. I would like to try the other items next time . Visit it when you are around:
