The repair tech at Camera Doctor on the west side of Manhattan with a huge help in getting my lens in good operation. My the parts inside my lens was scratching up the sensor of my camera, and Camera Doctor was able to fix that from ever happening again in 20 minutes (in this particular instance). I'll definitely think of these guys if I ever need another camera repair

DO NOT GO HERE I brought my Canon DSLR to Camera Doctor because I was having a minor issue with the sensor, and because I wanted them to look into some stuck pixels. It took them a month to even look at my camera, and they failed to do a full evaluation. The price they then quoted me to repair the sensor was the cost of a used Canon camera body if I picked one up in excellent condition from Adorama. When I declined their repair service, I then had to wait another 3 weeks before it was ready to be picked up. This after calling numerous times, each call met with an apology, an empty promise to call me back, and a lie about my camera’s whereabouts. Apparently they sent my camera elsewhere for repair, and lost track of it. When I asked them to waive the $60 fee for my inconvenience, they declined. So, in the end, I paid $60 to wait seven weeks, after a dozen frustrating phone calls, to get back a camera they did not service.

First experience was repair of focus and rangefinder on classic 4x5 Speed Geaphic. I had a soft deadline that I wanted to use the camera for, and they had it back to me in time to shoot a local airshow. Next experience was a Canon EF Lens that had Schumtz between elements. Again rapid turnaround and lens looks factory new. Next in line is a USAAF 1942 C3 4x5 camera and associated flash, Excellent value and service and a a plus they recycle and reuse ♻️ shipping packaging

No that camera needs to go back to the factory for cleaning. We do cleanings on DSLR only.
Hi there thanks for the question and thanks to the people who answered. Yes we can repair your K1000 camera. Feel free to bring it in for a look see. Matt
We do service them. We do need to know the model you have. Service costs will depend on the condition and needed repairs. The camera will need to be inspected by one of our Tehcs and an estimate will be given for your approval. There will be an bench fee charge for refused estimates.
I called them and asked. They recommended going to the website and schedule an appointment. Their location is pretty small.
