I applied for SSDI and then got a letter saying they need more info. Letter is dated July 7… today august 3 and I just got the letter LAST WEEK! They want this paperwork back in 15 days! I’ve been calling every day since getting this letter to ask for more time. I have cognitive issues that make paperwork like this difficult and I need more time especially considering the mail didn’t get the paperwork to me until the last week of July for whatever reason. NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE! I’ve called every day, I’ve called the local office and the main SSA number and I just end up on hold forever. As hard as it is for me to do, I guess I’ll be driving to the office tomorrow when all of this could be taken care of with a simple phone call IF they’d answer the phone.
