I'll say what most others have said here: 1. rude, in my opinion: interrupts while speaking 2. plays a "game of odds": prescribed anti-depressant based on med profile of being "well-tolerated". Despite inquiry from me, proceeded with his choice. Fast forward a day, I'm dead asleep for 16 hours and miss work. 3. does not pay attention: gave example of how medication was not working, he later on read my patient chart to a scribe (shouldnt even be doing that during session?), contradicting what I had just mentioned a minute ago The staff was really friendly though.

If I could give negative 10 stars I could. This is the absolute worst psychiatrist office I have ever been to. This Dr. Does not care about the patients. He was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and halfway paying attention while we were in his office. We sat there for 30 minutes while he dictated notes into his computer. I'm sorry you can't do that after we leave? He did not listen to anything that was being said to him and told me that I needed to put my fiancé (the patient) in a mental hospital!! He's not psychotic or suicidal!! Save your time and breath... DO NOT SEEK HELP FROM THIS DR.!! I don't see how this man even has a license with the way he treats people.

We started going to Dr. Dwivedi years ago when my oldest child was in 2nd grade. I have 2 children with ADHD and other learning disabilities, processing disorders, and sensory issues. I my self had to see Dr. Dwivedi for my own depression. I admit the first time I met him I didn't know what to expect. He has given me and my family guidance, helped us find the counselings we needed. He insisted that we went to counseling as a part of our treatment plan. Dr Dwivedi is not just going to write prescription and give you what you want. He is a doctor who will sit with you and talk with you, he will try to find what medications work for you. He even will do a blood test to see what medication will be the most therapeutic for you. He did this for me and my children. Both my children go to him. He doesn't make crazy changes in their medications. He does what works. If something isn't working then he is open to discussing a solution. Please note it does take time for medications to become therapeutic in your system. Just listen to him he knows what he is doing. If insurance is not paying for a medication they you then he has even gone above and beyond to make phone calls to pharmacies to help find those medications cheaper for us. Yes, some people give him a poor rating. But whenever we have really needed him he has always been there. The staff is nice and friendly. I have refered my friends to him as well. Yes, you do have to sign a contract to follow the program. That's pretty standard. Just note that this is mental health and behavior health office therefore a level if respect toward staff is expected. This is a place of work and he is seeing patients. He does have tous and items for children to play with in his office. All you have to do is ask first. All the counselor there that we have worked with have been awesome. One of the biggest lessons in life to learn is sometimes we may think we know what's best for us and what medication works best for us. But in reality long term some medications are no good for us. It's all about being open minded and giving someone a chance to help you in the right way.
