Cool place, especially for the novelty factor. The ice was SUPER rough when I went and the Zamboni was not working. The rink gets super busy on weekends, but due to the size it doesn't feel overly packed. Also, I'd suggest just parking at Stagecoach Park and taking the shuttle instead of dealing with the insane parking lot. A much calmer experience.

Great public skating rink! Limited parking but shuttle service is available. Great rates for admission and ski rental. I recommend going early to get parking and beat the crowds.

This place is beautiful and a fun destination for the family. Unfortunately it's clear why ratings are low. The quality of the ice and facilities are subpar, and little is done by the staff to maintain it. At the very least, they could shovel the snow periodically throughout the day. There were four high-school aged rink guards standing together doing nothing. The line for admission is very slow, and that is because the staff member manually enters the credit card information rather than using a card reader. The building is closed due to covid, understandably, but the coffee bar closed due to power problems. Furthermore, no attempt is made to maintain the outdoor area where you can tie your skates. The rental returns were spilling over and a huge mess. If you are charging admission for using outdoor ice, you could pay competent staff to do something.

This is a super cool place to spend the day, esp. if you are a casual skater. The mountain views are spectacular from the ice, and you are literally skating on the frozen surface of the lake. Might be obvious if you're from a northern state, but wanted to be clear for the southern folks. Skate rentals are $7. Unlike a traditional rink, you get a private patch of ice. It's smaller, but you don't have to share.
