I wanted to go here for bariatric surgery since I know a bariatric surgeon here who takes my insurance. Turns out, they're not in compliance with my insurance as a blue distinction center to even do the surgery, so I'd ultimately have to pay tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket. When were they going to be transparent with this? If the doctor accepts my insurance but the hospital doesn't, that only leaves me to believe that something fishy is going on behind the scenes. Good thing I trust Cornell more than these folks - at least Cornell is a blue distinction center with my insurance. I've advised my friend not to come here - he's more of a Columbia Presbyterian guy anyway. I only use NYU because of my neurologist who's super smart and my nurse practitioner who I've been seeing for three and a half years, and she's unfortunately associated with NYU.

I gave birth here and let’s say I can’t wait to do it again. They were the best 3 days of my life. Everyone was amazing especially the nurses. They deserve all their roses. Everything went smoothly thanks to them. Their professionalism and care was above and beyond. They answered all my questions and respected all my concerns when I was in labor. In the most vulnerable moments they knew how to comfort me. The midwife I had was knowledgeable and encouraged me when I wanted to give up. She told me you are going to see your baby really soon you are almost there trust me and minutes later there he was :). My delivering doctor was Dr. Andrew Gardner another gem I highly recommend. If you are pregnant look no further this is the place to go. They also had a photographer on the second day taking pictures to capture my new little family. I appreciated the fact that they only allowed two visitors. In those beautiful first days all you need is your spouse and your baby to bond. I had an ensuite room and had all the privacy I needed. I got to choose my 3 meals a day and had open fridge if I needed extra. They also restocked if I ran out of any postpartum things I needed and I got a goodie bag to. I returned this frida mom postpartum recovery kit I got from my baby shower because the stuff I got from the hospital was way better.

Had an ENT appointment with Sabrina Tarafdar. Very condescending. She will not listen to your health concerns. She will speak over you, while you are speaking. Also, she does not like questions. Just nod and agree if you want it to go well. Terrible service. If you care about yourself and have real health concerns, schedule with someone else. If she is the only soonest available option, seek a second opinion, it will save you your mental health.
