I've been coming here all my life. The Manor House has recently undergone a much needed face lift. It looks great. The craft center has sone beautiful pieces and the grounds are well kept. Dont come without your camera.

The grounds and manor were beautiful and well taken care of. Loved the blue ridge parkway next to it.

Love this place. We have visited this house many times and have never been disappointed..The Park Rangers were so knowledgeable and pleasant!!

Wish you could tour the building yourself.

No fees and a beautiful place to see. I go once a week. Camping at julian park is 20 bucks a night.
Absolutely. It's a great spot for bringing dogs, and many people do. The gift shop and ranger info station adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway do not allow dogs inside, but the many trails are great for hiking or strolling with dogs, especially on the lower part around and near Bass Lake. I've never done the one mile hike around the lake without seeing someone with a dog.
Yes I would say they have changed alot in the last week the colors are sticking out more on a 🌞 🌄 day...
Not entirely certain on it because I didn't travel the whole property necessarily but up and around the house I don't believe there is anywhere to do that.
The trails are gravel not paved... Good for hikers and walkers...
Call and find out. That is all we can tell you. The people who runs it can tell you.
The trails are definitely wide enough for a cart, they were originally designed for a carriage. I have definitely seen horses on the trails though I've never seen a cart.
yes the gift shops are open but they were doing a lot of restoration when I was there about 3 weeks ago
There is a large hay field with hill that people sled near the Cone grave site. Park at manor house on blue ridge parkway, walk through tunnel under parkway then up trail to right. Walk bu is about a mile. There is sled area at base of Beech Mountain ski area.
Be careful ogff donations to rennovation. They have promised painting rennovations for well over a year and they haven't even started scraping. They're is so much peeling paint that they will be lucky if the whole thing doesn't rot this year. It is shameful
Yes, shops are open, but I don't know about buggy rides.
In the town of Blowing Rock and Boone there's plenty and this place is definitely worth the visit.
I seen Porta-Johns but I'm not sure if they were operational they may have the original.
We walked our horses knee deep into Trout lake on Sunday but not sure if we were supposed to. LOL
Not likely, but I don't actually know.
They are normally closed over the winter and I'm not sure if they would have started or not due to that.
No. Towns nearby have bandbs and hotels. Campground near on parkway also.
There is a path from Blowing Rock Stables to Moses Cone. There are hitching posts at Moses Cone.
No
My recollection is that there are no picnic tables. However, there are small benches and nice areas aroumd Bass Lake that one could picnic if spreading things on the ground is not an issue.
Yes. I agree with the others. The trail near the Manor would be my choice if I were pregnant and with a two year old in tow.
