This campsite is very convenient for visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park, being only a 10 minute drive to the South Unit. The facilities and campsites were nice with sufficient space. My only complaint is the road noise from I-94.

Its very close to highway and yiu can hear it well on outer ring at least. It wasn't bad enough for us to move, but annoying. We stayed 7 days, though 90% of people stay 1 night. Clean showers, flush toilets, fire-pit, picnic tables, and a nice camp host. If you find a wedding ring please turn if in to camp host. My husband lost his while we were there and it is incredibly sad for us.

If you're looking for a clean, convenient place to camp along the way on 94 with some great views, this is definitely the place for it. Located pretty much on the interstate exit, it's impossible to miss this place. We were pretty pooped on our drive so the proximity was really nice. The camping spot we had was clean and had a nice grassy area for the tent, along with a clean stone table. Couldn't really ask for a nicer camping lot. There's a little hill (see pictures) right by the campground that you can hike up and get a nice view of the surrounding area, especially at sunset. Maybe varies by carrier, but I couldn't get service where we were camped, but a couple minute hike up the hill gets you service. As far as campgrounds go, this is about as smooth of an experience as one could ask for. Well done to whoever maintains it.

Stayed for $6! Seems like the price changes based on the date. Loved this place. Half the sites were sunny, half had shade and more privacy. Only a handful of sites so not too crowded. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Some people mentioned highway noise but it didn't bother us at all. Seemed more like white noise and the bugs were louder!

The entire United States is on a fire ban for the last five years
There are usually openings, unless there is something happening in Medora

$6, with hot showers! First come, first serve. It is a lovely campground. Trees shade most spots. Better than in town. A bit close to the interstate so a little noisy in a tent. The setting and ease of camping makes up for it. Nice hikes around the campground. As in all sagebrush areas, check for ticks. Wonderful camp hosts.
I think October most of them do.
It's self registration. You pick your camp site and fill out registration form put your money in the envelope put it in the box $6 a night.
It was when i went there. There's a honor System pay envelope drop box near the sites. I went there in late August and they were plenty of available sites
