Lewis and Kim are absolutely amazing instructors. I Basic Pistol and Instructor Training with them. I learned more in those couple of days with them, than I have in a month of some of my previous college classes. I recommend Take Aim with 5 stars to the 10th power!!

We took NRA Basic Pistol and TAC 1 Defensive Pistol. NRA Basic was some good classroom instruction then range qualifications In TAC 1, we learned a ton about proper use of a concealed carry weapon today. We did several hours of drills at the range to hone our skills. Lewis is awesome and really wants to ensure you are prepared when you complete the course. Kim does a great job keeping us all straight. Highly recommended.

There is a concrete reason why Lewis and Kim have 5 stars across the board on the reviews of their firearms academy. It is because they are some of if not the best in the entire state. I have worked with and trained with many instructors and students from the private, to state and federal levels and Lewis and Kim are my absolute favorite. They are experts at not only teaching the material but also connecting with students and hosting a comfortable and perceptive classroom for any and all levels of knowledge in firearms and training. These types of instructors/environments are hard to find when seeking out training in firearms discipline. Their reviews are well deserved and you should not hesitate to give them a call/email if you are interested. They will gladly speak with you about your needs or concerns and work with you on what to do next even if it means not going with them. They are honest, they are fair and they are amazingly wonderful people. You will not regret choosing them as your providers for instruction.

I was part of a group of ladies that took the Intro to Guns course with Lewis, on this past Saturday. I totally enjoyed myself. From the beginning of class, Lewis made us feel comfortable. We had a ton of questions and he had a ton of answers. We all had various experiences with firearms. Lewis taught the class as if we each were touching a gun for the first time. I liked this because we received the same information. I was a bundle of nerves on the range but because of Lewis' calm demeanor and patience, those past quickly. We were able to experience a variety of firearms. I went there set on getting one type of weapon but I walked away wanting another due comfort and fit. I highly recommend this company for firearms, self-defense, and survival training. Coach thank you for the class and I look forward to seeing you for my CC training. Kim

Not yet! Take Aim Carolina offers classes for beginning to advanced shooters. For handguns, shotguns, rifle and of course, CCH. We have an instructional outdoor range for our classes. We are currently in the process of getting our FFL and opening an indoor range is in our long term plan.

We are a firearms training company, so right now our range is only available for the classes that we teach. Thank you for asking. If you ever need training, give us a call.

Do you have to own a pistol for the intro to pistol classes? I am looking into getting a pistol but thought taking a course beforehand would be beneficial since this will be my first firearm purchase.

That is definitely a good idea. You do not have to have your own pistol to take the class. There is an option for $25 that allows you to try several different types and sizes.
