Great beer selection and really good pizza. Pizzas are made to order and are properly cooked(nicely browned and crispy crust), so it can take an extra minute. Service was good and friendly. We have gotten take out and dined in quite a few times over the years…never a bad experience.

Omg Mike has the best meat balls I have ever had!!! The pizza dough it so fresh it's like my little old italian granny was in the kitchen making it. The meat balls are soft and well seasoned. Salad was fresh and the garlic knots were cooked to perfection. Super friendly staff and a good price for the amazing quality of food. It's truly a hidden gem in brevard.

Two months ago I called Big Mikes to inquire about catering a party I was having for my mothers 90th Birthday on April 23rd. Her favorite food is lasagna and I was told Mikes made a pan that would feed twenty people, to include salad and bread for $195.00 but it was to early to place the order. A month later I called again and was told it was still too early to place the order that they could only take the order two days in advance of the party but they would write it down for me. I would be flying in from Denver that day so that was the first thing on my agenda to get done. Rather than calling I went to the restaurant and was told that I could only place the order with Mike and he wasn't around at the moment, this was two in the afternoon. The encounter with the employee who was acting a little off was a bit uncomfortable and she made a comment that was a bit odd and if I remember correctly got the sense this catering deal wasn't going to happen, even after making several attempts to call and place the order. The employee did get Mike on the phone and he said he could not accommodate my request given there were one or two orders already in house. I was not very happy given I made two or three attempts to place this order, it was two days before the party and I had twenty five people attending. To make things worse there was no empathy from the employee or Mike, he was even asking me the name of the person that gave me this information, like this is my problem. I am not proud of my self but with his attitude and lack of empathy I hung up and walked out. I just couldn't believe a place of business would do this to a customer. I sure hope Mike trains his employees on all his processes around taking orders, especially catering and will allow people to place and order more than two days in advance when hosting a large party. Luckily i was able to find a place of business to accommodate me and the food was delicious and the party was a success, no thanks to Mike and his business.

We stopped into Big Mike's in Brevard, NC for an early lunch during our trip to the Asheville area. We were the first customers of the day, but the quaint restaurant dining room quickly filled as our visit went on and a number of carryout orders were fulfilled. My family and I started with an order of 12 epic knots ($8). These knots were so large that we should have just ordered 6 knots. That would be plenty for a family of four. The dough was tasty and cooked perfectly with plenty of cheese and garlic flavor on top. We were off to a good start. I ordered a baked calzone stuffed with ricotta, romano, provolone, mozzarella, as well as peppers and onions ($12). This was gigantic! I think it was the size of a 10" pizza folded in half and stuffed full. The flavor was good and the sauce tasted fresh and well seasoned. My wife enjoyed a very large salad ($6.50) and the spaghetti with garlic bread ($6) my daughter had from the kids' menu was large enough for an adult. My point being that servings are large so come with a big appetite!
