Our thanks to Falls Landing, especially Christine, for a magical evening! We celebrated our anniversary and that of friends from out of town with seafood dishes, wine, etc. They were able to seat us in the front window area and we had a fantastic meal complete with dessert! We forgot to take a picture but we will definitely be back!

My husband walked in to make a take out order. He was rudely told no and they knew of no wait time. I thought this odd called to see if there was indeed no take out available. Was told very rudely no and when I asked why (could be short staffed or they maybe don’t do it anymore) all I heard was excuse me and they hung up. Tried to call back to talk to a manager and they hung up again!

It has been several years since I have eaten at Falls Landing and this visit did not disappoint. Our waitress was friendly (and masked, as was the rest of the staff). There were 4 of us dining together and we all agreed that our food was delicious and as a whole-foods plant-based eater, there were even some vegan-friendly menu items. The owner came over to check on us and that is always a nice touch. My next trip to Brevard will definitely include a visit to the practically perfect restaurant.

My husband and I were in Brevard celebrating our wedding anniversary earlier this week and we made a reservation in advance since they were strongly recommended. I assumed that meant they were high in demand because they're one of the better restaurants in the area but we both ended up underwhelmed. Service was mostly good though it did take a long time for our entrees to come out due to, apparently, their printers not working which took them a while to notice. The entrees weren't terrible but didn't end up being worth the extra wait. I got one of the night's specials, snapper topped with a crab "slaw" and served with three pieces of already cold, slightly cheesy broccoli and mashed potatoes. The snapper was quite mediocre. I've never had it before and I wasn't impressed. It wasn't especially bad, it was just pretty bland and nondescript and had a slightly odd texture that I'm not sure how to describe. It was just like any other basic, flaky white fish, there just wasn't much to it. It didn't seem very fresh. The brightness of the capers in the crab slaw it was topped with and some lemon juice helped but not enough. The mashed potatoes were pretty good at least. My husband had to replace the fries that came with his fish and chips because they were so soft and just not good. They looked, felt and tasted exactly like fast food fries that have been sitting out in the warmer for too long. We were offered a free dessert for the extra wait for the entrees and I chose the key lime pie to go. We were staying in a cabin less than ten minutes away and by the time we got the pie home it had sort of melted significantly. I've never had such soft, pudding-like key lime pie. It was tasty but extra sour. Overall a pretty disappointing dinner and I'm not sure why they're always so slammed that they recommend reservations. It was all pretty average.

Do you have shrimp and grits?

Your question is being posted to reviewers, not the establishment, so you should call the restaurant for menu questions. That being said, shrimp and grits is a "low country" (coastal SC and GA) specialty. Here in the mountains, fresh local trout is our main seafood that is on the menu at many restaurants.
