East Jersey Old Town Village is a great way to spend an afternoon, and it's totally free. They have historical interpreters in period dress demonstrating different trades from the 19th and 18th centuries, including blacksmithing, stonemasonry, cooking, printing, and brick making. There are sometimes revolutionary war reenactors on site as well. They're open on the weekends and their season lasts from April to October.

Great experience for the kids. We will bring them back there next year.

Great place for a history enthusiast or those interested in the history of our local community. It transports you back to a simpler time that was rich in industry and imagination.

Really nice for afternoon to walk and learn about NJ history. Free to visit. Volunteers are so nice and helpful. They want to teach you about the period of time. I would highly recommend .
