Beautiful place to visit for some nature time, lakes, creeks, meadows, and forests.

Went in the first entrance to the west. First area had fishing and a rest room. Next was a great boondocking site, but no shade. Very peaceful.

Rained during my 1 night there. Free camp site. No one else was there. Couldn't find a bathroom. Overall not bad though

It's a really nice Conservation area right off of interstate 44. 4k plus acres and several ponds to fish in. Great hunting as well. I've been hunting here for years and I never get tired of coming here.

As long as it's not rifle season. I've seen a few big bucks and plenty of does. I've been going there pretty regularly for the last few years.
Go another mile or two down the road. There is another road that leads to the lake and fishing hole.
Yes, turkey hunting is permitted on Talbot Area.
Free to camp. I only know of one spot to camp. On the west side. Between farm road 2070 and 2080 on highway 97. It will be on the east side of the road.
Here is the link to the detailed map.....hope it helps https://nature.mdc.mo.gov/discover-nature/places/talbot-robert-e-ca
