This is one of our favorite places to go walking. There are multiple paths to walk in the woods or the paved trail. Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. We always have a great time and it's never too busy like other places.

This is a beautiful nature preserve. The nature center has some raptors in the back that you can look at. Even during Covid shut down times. The trails around the nature center are wonderful and relatively short. I would say some of the trails are probably about a mile and a half long or so. A lot of acorns for kids to pluck out and throw. There is a very nice children's play area and nature exploration area. A lot of wildlife in the lakes that surround the nature center. Parking is ample and free. There is a pair of portable toilets available even when the nature center is closed. The water fountains are on. It's a great place for a families to wander around and we even saw people getting photos taken.

Went to walk a bit and maybe see some wildlife. Ended up only seeing some cranes on the path but the walk was still nice. Didn't see anyone else on the trails I took, but could have been the time I went (tues noon - 1:30 or so). Overall I liked it and will probably go back to explore more trails.

Because it's a park reserve there are dedicated wild life trails and dog trails. Dogs are allowed on paved trails but not allowed on the wood chips/grass hiking trails. They do also have a great off leash dog park there as well! You can purchase a day pass or year pass at the nature center or go to www.threeriversparks.org
