My family and I are so grateful for the staff at Solana, Doylestown. The transition from their home of over 60 years to assisted living has been a challenge for our parents to say the least. Missy Lengle and the staff have been able to transform a very stressful situation into a time that we can now find comfort in knowing that our parents are getting the daily care and attention they need.

Tastefully decorated building with warm caring staff inside. My mother was made to feel at home from day one. They check on her several times a day and have personalized her care by accomadating her daily routines and likes and dislikes. Missy was extremely helpful with the moving in process and continues to keep the lines of communication open. People are everything when it comes to elder care and the people here are all wonderful.

The Solana Doylestown is a beautiful place The workers are very friendly and pleasant. The outside Physical therapists go above and beyond their jobs. The only downfall about the Solana Doylestown It's management. It is very disappointing when they tell you one thing and don't follow through. This has happened many times to us. The excuse they give Is covid or not enough help. If this was the case then they should not have as many residents if they don't have the staff to take care of them. I was very disappointed in the way things were handled when I went to them about issues that needed to be taken care of and they just ignored me. When we went there for the 1st meeting we were told the that my mother in law could Stay at the salon of Doylestown that they Could supply the care she needed and that there was a memory care unit. The we found out there's no in between- care between independent living and memory care, that's where the ball got dropped. Big disappointment. When I tried to get help, was told hire outside help not their problem. When your spending the amount of money you would expect care and concern from management. They never even asked why we left, guess it's just fill the apartment.

Heartfelt CONNECTIONS - A Memory Care Program® means members of our memory care team are trained to provide a specific type of compassionate care that is specifically designed for those with memory impairment. In addition, memory care residents live in safe and secure “neighborhoods” to promote socialization, and to provide each individual residence offers purposeful design touches.
At our community, residents live in a warm and friendly, family-like neighborhood with the safety of 24-hour staffing and the compassionate care of highly trained personnel who implement proven memory care programs that encourage and celebrate remaining abilities. It would be virtually impossible to duplicate this level of round-the-clock safety, sense of community and socialization and specific expertise in Alzheimer’s care by using an in-home care service.

There are a variety of options families use in order to help pay for assisted living. We suggest you consult with a financial advisor to discuss which would work best for your family.
Personal care gives you the helping hand you need to keep active, stay engaged, and pursue your passions. You’ll live in a beautifully appointed apartment home and receive assistance with the basic activities of daily living, tailored to your specific needs, such as help with bathing, dressing and grooming, medication management, and personal maintenance. Nursing homes, on the other hand, are for those with chronic medical conditions or disabilities, or those in chronic pain, who require round-the-clock care and supervision by licensed skilled nursing professionals.
The terms Assisted Living and Personal Care are typically used interchangeably, and in many ways, they are similar. Both aid with the activities of daily living (ADL's), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, personal maintenance, and medication management. However, communities that are licensed with the official designation of Assisted Living Residence (ALR) must, by Pennsylvania law, meet a variety of specific requirements regarding building construction, size, staffing, and training.
