My grandfather was transferred Here for rehab after a 3 week stay at Jeff in wash twp. The physical therapy people and the financial people were very communicative and polite. However one of the nurses on staff refused to call an ambulance when he was screaming in dire pain. Said to him “pain is a part of living.” I called and they said he was evaluated and were no issues, he called me two more times so my wife who’s an RN called and they told her lies about an examination that was never done. He called yet again and she went to the facility. She evaluated him in 20 seconds and could see something was wrong in his abdomen. She had to literally scream at them to finally call an ambulance. Fast forward 60 hours later, after an emergency surgery to remove a bowel blockage, my grandfather was pronounced that he passed in Jefferson ICU. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS FACILITY. You cannot trust a facility that lies to their families over the phone and does not honor the patients request to go to the ER.

I don’t even want to waste my time writing this review, but I am anyway so everyone knows not to use this place. I went to visit a family member here and I was changing the sheets and helping her move to a better position on the bed because the nurse/cna had an attitude about it. The family member was my grandmother, and she mentioned she was being treating poorly and everyone who worked here was miserable. There were a few elderly patients lined up against a wall in wheelchairs in front of a big reception desk/area too. And one of them was upset and crying because she was being mistreated and neglected but all of the staff just stood behind the desk talking back to her! And across the hall a nurse/cna was yelling and cursing at a patient so loud even my grandmom who is hard of hearing heard her! This place is a joke. I work in healthcare and there is NO excuse for this behavior. There is serious negligence going on here. Every staff member working here in the rooms, and behind the desks are treating these patients very poorly. Every single one of them are rude and spiteful. The only nice one was the gentleman mopping the floors. Not to mention, another family member stayed here once and had belongs stolen from them. I feel so bad for all the patients here and their families. Please don’t go here and find somewhere else if you care about your loved ones. Because this place certainly doesn’t.

This place is the worst nursing home I have ever seen or worked in. When I worked in this nursing, I saw the way they treated the patients, they mangers and supervisors are nonchalant they neglect the patients. The manger/supervisor in the kitchen called josh is the worst, he only smokes all the time and doesn’t do his job as a kitchen manager. All he does is to complain when the patients ask for their meal. They treat patients like nothing. This place is just terrible! Don’t send your family members here, it is not worth it

My experience at manor care was very good, staff was friendly and attentive. PT dept. was phenomenal. I got exactly what i needed to prepare myself to go home.
