Yes, this is a great place to spend time with kids and friends of any age. I recently went with my two daughters, 8 and 6, and my friend and her son who is a junior in college. We had a great time walking around the zoo, taking in the sights and then enjoyed a picnic lunch, which we had brought along, at one of the covered picnic tables on the property. Awesome place!

I am not sure but I am sure if you visit you can ask. The workers were all very friendly. There were a couple ladies working with the hawk and one of the ladies told us all about the hawk and its past. A friend and I went Wednesday and had a nice time. My favorite animal was the White Haired Gibbon; it was even doing some poses as my friend and I took some pictures!

Yes the zoo is free and parking is free there is a donation box as you enter the zoo it is always nice to leave a little something to help them feed the animals and on the other side of the parking lot is a sprinkler pool for young children
