Hm let me count.
They have a wide and fun variety of animals. There was some damage from Hurricane Sandy, but they are fixing up the zoo and adding more animals every year
There are quite a few. Not anywhere near the Philadelphia Zoo, but you could easily spend an hour or even more walking through the zoo looking at all the animal exhibits that they have.
I'm not sure the total, but here's what I remember: 1 pig; 2 leopards; 2 fishing cats, 1 red-tailed hawk; 1 black vulture; 1 turkey vulture, 2 sandhill cranes; 1 great horned owl; 1 spectacled owl; at least 2 domestic pigeons; a few Aftican rock pigeons; at least 4 red river hogs; 2 New Guinea singing dogs; 2 cougars; at least 1 bengal tiger; I think 2 macaws and 2 cockatoos, but I could be mistaken on the exact number; 1 pygmy marmoset; 1 wallaby; 1 emu or ostrich; 2 tortoises; 1 bear; 2 or 3 lemurs; 1 white handed gibbon; at least 1 donkey; at least 2 fennec foxes; and numerous ducks and peacocks who roam freely.
There are quite a few and t''s a nice experience for what it is. And my son did enjoy himself with the animals that he did see. We easily spent over an hour there. It's also not as large as Philadelphia Zoo by any means and it is smaller than the Cape May Zoo.
Good
