Marsh Creek State Park has several nice features. With a beautiful lake, it's nice that you can rent a kayak, canoe, paddle board or sailboat, and of course, you can bring your own. There are boat launches on both the east and west shores. The east launch is popular with people coming to just watch the boats, and there is a food stand in this section. Warm water fishing is popular in the park. A swimming pool and a large picnic area sits up the road from the east launch area. At the west launch, you can pre-arrange horseback riding and explore several trails. A different part of the park to the north, off Dorlan Mill Road, has a parking lot for the mountain biking trail head. Marsh Creek has no overnight camping, but nearby French Creek does. Hunting is allowed in certain sections of the park in hunting season. For events at this park visit: events dcnr pa For more information: pa parks and forests (diamond)

Yes you can bring your own boat. Just get a life jacket to be on the safer side 😊
Yes you can bring your own grill.. Have fun and be safe😊
Hi today's a lovely day too. They have paddle, row and motorized. If you google Marsh Creek boats. It will give you more detailed information including pricing and hours.. Good luck enjoy your day..
Yes you get a permit you can print out on paper, (I put mine in a zip lock bag) and they will send you the official by mail.
Short answer is yes. If you need a fishing licence you can purchase one directly from Marsh Creek Lake Fishing License 24/7. Prices and options are listed including non resident fishing licenses. Please ensure to adhere to the fishing regulations for the state. Remember, regulations are there to protect fish species and enable fishing for generations to come.
Yes you can. I’ve seen dogs with very fun life jackets on kayaks and SUP paddle boards.
The crappie will start to hit soon . Great fishing as the spring season progress all so for musky to .
Nope. You can launch at the east (during posted park hours) or west (24 hours) boat launches. There are also safe launches along chalfont road.
If you have the proper lighting on your boat
No camping allowed at Ridley State park but there are other state parks nearby that actually have primitive camping sites to cabin lodging . Also some local campgrounds to camp at near by the state parks .
Yes and you can Ser local fireworks from the middle of the lake in a boat
Caught a lot of small bass and rather large perch there last weekend. All I have ever caught there are bass , perch , and musky. I have also seen some crappie caught there.
Weather permitting spring thru fall weekends 10-5
You only need a launch permit which you can purchase in the office for about $18, I think. It is good for two years and for all state parks.
I saw some families n the lake but I don't know abt swimming out far n the lake
For everyone yes it's public.
We did not enter the pool..Sorry!
My son who's been there with various day camps has never seen seen that activity occur.
$13.97/kayak for an annual launch permit. Good until December. You can buy it online.
For Kayaking, it costs 40 bucks for 1 hr and 30 for half hour
All accurate replies above. When I said it reminded me of home, well I did literally pull a canoe through my backyard and then the woods directly into Marsh Creek. Live there from the age of six through the age of moving out on your own, as well as worked at the boat rental in the State Park for quite a few years. It reminded me of home because well it was home.
On the West side of the lake behind the boat launch.
There are port-a potties on the one side, and regular bathrooms near the boating/swimming area
Just leave it propped up
Everything but the pool is opened, the pool opens Memorial Day. (not sure about the snack bar)
There are mountain bike trails near the dam. Flatter easier trails are on the west side and are shared with hikers and horseback riders. You can find park maps at the kiosks around the park that show the the trails and their use.
nope
Yes there are but I believe it is over 2 year wait.
I looked it up on their Website but I didn't see any times. I suggest contacting them to get an accurate answer. 610-458-5119
Beltzville State Park is about the same distance from Center City, it's free has beach picnic area boat rentals and you can jet ski.
$30. 1/2 hour and yes they supply
The entrance to the parking lot and park is free, to enter the pool area is $ 8.00 per person.
Young children were defiantly on them..
Swimming is NOT permitted in the lake. https://www.dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/MarshCreekStatePark/Pages/Swimming.aspx
Yeah definitely a great place to BBQ just make sure that someone arrives early to hold a spot
I saw a bunch of inflatable kayaks yesterday so I assume yes
Everything is green here but you still need to wear a mask when out and in crowded areas but can take it off at the pool splash pad and lake area but still keeping social distance rule
16 I believe as long as there's a parental supervision
People bring or rent kayaks and small water vessels, electric motor only I believe. There are a few areas where you can walk into the water a little bit, I don't see the harm in letting a toddler splash around right along the shoreline, but I'm no park ranger.
I'd say about a quarter mile
Not sure about that, I'm sorry! Give the office a call, I'm sure they'll answer. 😊👍🏾 Enjoy!
Yes, it's to the side of the parking lot on the left at the top of the hill. ( The lot across the road from the pool.)
No. Pool closed after Labor Day.
Yes. And Very Scenic too ... I grew up in the area and I was glad to show my kids my stomping grounds.
Yes it is I have been in the lake multiple times it's free
Yes but you should check with the information desk before setting up
There are several different entrances all of them close to hiking trails and ample parking
There is a big public swimming pool for reasonable daily charge, including tons of water features and handicapped access, plus picnic pavilions around inside and outside the pool
Agreed I don't believe they are permitted
I never swam in the lake we always like swimming at the pool I hadn't been there in a really long time I was worried that it might have gotten a little ghetto but everyone there was polite
Muniz, one word of caution though hour drive is straight down the turnpike or a little 10 mile curvy stretch on RT 100 (depending where in NJ you are coming from) check for the park access. They tend to get overcowded pretty quick and they stop any additional cars. This has started happening on every holiday .
No charge to use the park and picnic areas. Great for families, pets and daytime dates. Snacks for sale and fun water rides available for renting.
I'm not sure but my 12 yr old paddles by himself but within eye sight of me. He knows he can't go beyond the boundaries I set on the water for him. Always wear a life vest when paddle boarding/kayaking for your safety cause others on the water will not care or are out enjoying themselves an no one will be watching over you other then yourself. But I think if you choose to paddle board/kayak by yourself you should designate an area or have a goal in mind because wherever you paddle your going to have to paddle back. My motto has always been....safety first...fun next ! Keep that in mind an be safe out their on the water always look for hidden objects under the water as well while paddling.
There are large Muskie living in Marsh Creek so, no, it is not safe for children to swim there. It is free to visit and enjoy though.
Yes, you need a fishing license to fish at any public park in Pennsylvania.
I just received a phone call from the park office and they informed me that magnet fishing is permitted from a boat.
No not at Marsh Creek we tried it and got in trouble which we did not know we couldn't. Wish they would let people camp overnight it's so beautiful and peaceful.
No gas motors, but electric trolling motors are allowed, and sail boats.
it's been a while but I believe if you want to reserve a pavilion then you have to call and reserve. but just the regular picnic areas are fcfs.
I think it is but you can always call the ranger station.😄
I doubt it because firearms and archery is prohibited but you can check at the Ranger Station.
You can go to the Main Office.
Not sure, check their website.
I dont think you can get one at the lake, but Gordon's Sporting Goods in Eagle would have them.
Yes. If it’s raining
Most fireworks are illegal in PA state parks. Sparklers are allowed according to Tim Dugan,District Forester DCNR
Children can wade at the shore. There is a swimming pool for swimming
Kayak is $25 for half an hour $30 for an hour, canoes are $30 a half hour and $40 fir an hour, the "row b ok at" is a 4 person row boat with a small motor.
Yes awesome bike trails on the opposite side of the lakes main entrance.

Unfortunately no, it's not allowed - but that doesn't mean you can't get away with it! Just be smart about it and you'll likely be fine
They have parking
It's free if you jump the fence...
Called el Sinkero. They're kinda cheap.
You can buy it online and print it out before you go
Canoe seats two 1/2 hour – $30 1 hour – $40 2 hours – $70 4 hours – $85
Unfortunately no... but many townships 5 to 15 minutes away from the park are having them...
Yes you can... Areas are on a first come, first serve basis... not sure if you can reserve areas in advance like French Creek... great idea when big holidays are coming up...
Swimming is not permitted in the lake but they do have a pool that you can swim in for a fee
It's free and it's beautiful. There are miles of trails going all around the lake. You can get to them from either the main entrance or the West boat launch.
No idea. Sorry
Electric motors only. It's nice and big. Two launches on opposite sides of the lake
Yes
Yoi cam fish most amywhere except where the boats are moored or rented. Also, not good idea to fish at boat launch. But then, that's just good etiquette
No need to rent . Them events can be created by whomever. Maybe a phone call would give u more input.
Ice fishing is allowed. Previously this winter the ice was thick enough for kids to skate and play hockey on but currently it is too warm.
