I was very 😊😊😊 with the polite service I received when I had 🥇 my power & water deposit $416 I paid them & scheduled to turned on. Especially the deposit when you think about it If you pay 2 separate comps most of the time 1 Power comp will charge you between $150 to $250 Then Water comp separate will charge you between $150 & $250 I was also explained that unlike previous power companies that hold the deposit for 1 year and refund it that I dealt with they hold the diposit for up to 3 years or until you relocate apply the balance of the last bill to the deposit what you have left then send you the remaining portion This is because these are separate entities even though they would be 1 entity the requirement for repair/maintenance still exists & the deposits are usually equivalent to the monthly usage last known in that location also small part based on credit score My 🥇 Power/Water bill was more than fair $98 just got it last week The representative was amazing and explaining that the people for the water comes out separate cuz it's a manual turn on compared to computer on the electrical I was also very 😊😊😊 on their quick response to solving the problem on the power outage yesterday..

I moved to Fayetteville on 01/2022 and out of Fayetteville in 07/2022 and cancelled my services with PWC on 07/26, and have always been up to date on payments. 2 months later, they’ve sent me an email saying my “outstanding balance” has been reported to an “outside collections agency.” I called to see what this was about, and I was told by the first woman they have not received any payments from me since February when I made my first payment, and I owed >$800. I requested to speak with someone above her because my bank statements said otherwise. The second woman I spoke with said I only have an outstanding balance of $495, and that I didn’t pay for my July or August bills. Again, my bank statement shows that I paid all bills on time, and my final bill was paid on 07/26 over the phone when I called to disconnect my services. I was living in Texas by 07/30/2022. I offered to send screenshots of my bank statements and the woman refused to allow me to provide any proof of payment. She then carried on to say “miss, we are not scam artists.” Like ma’am, I never said you were but based on that statement and the reviews on the company, it’s hard to believe you aren’t. Also, since they’ve waited 60+ days to “inform” me that my account was “passed due,” I’m unable to dispute the charges with my bank to get the money back to pay them AGAIN. I’ve seen a few other reviews where they waited the same amount of time to reach out to people and screwed over service members who were banking with FBCU. I refuse to pay even a penny to a company that has stolen my money and has consistently attempted to overcharge me for services EVERY SINGLE MONTH. I have submitted a report to the BBB and the city of Fayetteville along with all of my documentation and the phone call I recorded with these two women, who told me 2 completely different stories about my account.

Oh how I wish I could use a different company. When we first moved here, we had to pay a little over $500 to start up the water & electric. Will probably never see that again and it didnt even go towards our first bill. The electricity constantly goes out for a few seconds for literally NO reason at all. It will be super sunny out, and the power just goes out. Then I have to reset all of the clocks constantly and turn everything on that turned off from the power going out. Its absolutely ridiculous, with all these negative reviews it seems like they would make a change. Clearly they dont care, DO BETTER!

You might have call customer programs
PWC (Public Works Commission-Fayetteville NC) ~ “Peak” Time ~ Strive to use Less electricity (less electric power) during the “Peak” hrs. “Peak” time will Cost you more money for the power (electric) usage (electric)bill. April 1 thru October 31 “Peak” hrs (more costly hours) are: 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Weekdays (Monday-Friday) November 1 thru March 31 “Peak” hrs (cost More) are: 6:00am to 10:00am on Weekdays (Monday-Friday) ~ “Off Peak” Time ~ All hours not under “Peak” Hrs... “Off Peak” - Best Time to Run (Use)high electric usage appliances-ie dishwasher, washer, dryer, ranges, water heater, microwave, etc) NOTE: At all times, Always try to conserve and use less power every day. Also, to be less confusing for you, just remember “Peak” Time hrs rather than trying to remember “Off Peak” hrs. Strive to use least electric power at “Peak” Time. Other “Off Peak” hrs are weekends (every Saturday and Sunday), & for all PWC Observed Holidays.

There are some areas that are experiencing outages but I still call in and confirm...
Call the customer service on Monday it can be two things 1. Power outage or 2. You did pay your bill on time and you don't have an extension so your power is cut off. Please call customer service on Monday.
It is free to get utilities in your name however there maybe a deposit and it depends on your credit.

I am sorry for your frustration but you can also get on the website and make a payment you just have to have your acct number available... If you have not registered you can pay as a guest and just follow the instructions of each screen...
Yes as long as your account is current and closed out with a zero balance...
It all depends on what you mean by "when your not home" you can have your services disconnected anytime you like but the thing of it is if you're going to be gone a period time like weeks or days once we turn it off if you have a deposit on file it will go towards your account and when your ready to turn them back on you will have to pay another deposit and anything owed at that time if any...also connection fee of 22.00 will be billed for turning them back on. I hope that answers your question.
Not after 2:00
It's going ve insanely high. Over $300 but will allow you to split up the bill

You need to call public works for assistance.
PWC will tell you its due to the cold weather.
