We came to adopt a dog and after spending time with the staff, they made a recommendation and helped us find the right one. I brought my dog and 3 kids and they didn't rush us and gave us the time to make sure we were making the right decision. All 3 of the staff members that helped us were amazing!

Tried to call to report 2 lost dogs during business hours. (Dogs had collars and shelter tags). No one answered either number and the voicemail box was full.

My little yorkie high tailed it one evening, and luckily was picked up and brought to Richmond Hill animal shelter. They allowed my dad to pick up my baby the next morning. I had to give him a bath and pay his "hotel" fees, but minimal, as this could have been a far worse outcome. I am thankful for them taking care of him. He came back back with a new attitude, a few tattoos, but mainly stays away from the armillo gang that got him in this mess. Haha!

Their only open Mon.-fri. At 9 a.m. and I'm not 100% sure but i Think they close somewhere between 4:30-5. So if your baby goes to Doggy jail on a Friday, chances are that you wont be able to spring him/her free till Monday. If thats the case be prepared for your fur baby to be slightly traumatized for up to a week- if i might add, it won't be because of any Negative treatment because i can assure you that the ppl that run it are Very friendly and seem to be Very nice ( we've even dropped off a few donations and my Roxy tried her best to get back in. Lol I guess she wanted to say Hello to her friends. Lol) But i can tell you it's Very traumatizing to an animal and they probably wont eat properly for about a week after you rescue them.
I think so. They are a little short hand right now. But if you call between 8 and 9 you should be able to reach her before she goes out in the field. There is also a place if you bag them and sit them against from gate, she will get them when she comes back. She would love all of that stuff. Thanks
