The staff were super kind and the boat ride was nice - about 40 mins to get to the island. We had our dog with us and were able to sit on the outside portion with her. I saw some bad reviews about Daufuskie Island - we loved it! It’s very remote with only a few things to do but the fun part is exploring the island on a golf cart. We plan to go back sometime soon!

Not sure why this ferry company has 4.5 stars. The trip they offer is a complete tourist trap, waste of money and time. There is really nice nature on daufuskie island, but the man made Buildings and structures are in terrible shape. Its dirty. There is nothing to do besides see dirty bars and shops, two in total. Or drive a dirty golf cart. We did the distillery tour which was a total joke. You go in a room he talks 5 min shows nothing and that's it. Then u get a drink. That's it. Forget about the 5 star ratings. I cant imagine staying there overnight. My advice: dont go there!

I strongly recommend that you do it in advance. Daufuskie isn't as developed as other places so there may not be anyone around and you will spend time trying to arranging for transportation vs enjoying the natural beauty of the island
The ferry has a fleet of boats. Most do not have wi-fi but the ride is only 40 minutes in duration.
