Living areas cramped and not updated. Distance and safe personal space needed. Trailers not safe and in need of repair. These men trade clothes, cigarettes, noodles, food etc. Consequences needed. Rules? This facility needs stricter security and guidelines. Needs patrolling routinely. I feel the staff as a whole care. Some more than others. They need to involve the community to help this facility to prosper, and be successful in all areas. It’s time for some new leadership. Changes can be positive. The curriculum never seems to change. I’ve worked in drug rehabilitation centers, prisons, jails and in group homes. As a nurse, and the grandmother of an addict I’ve seen many treatments centers and how they operate. God bless this Center, and all who enter. There is hope. Recovery is possible.

The operator of this facility accepts government funds and discriminates if you are looking for nonjudgmental places this is not it. They do not practice what they preach

A comfortable atmosphere for men going through rehabilitation.

Most are eligible to start working after their first thirty days. Several factors can determine that, such as mental health status and whether or not the student is court mandated. Our paychecks go directly to the center to pay our student fees, transportation fees, and put money on our commissary accounts. Most men work at one of the places our center partners with in the work therapy program, while some (like myself) find their own jobs. Call the center to speak with the work program coordinator, Tony Luther, for more details.

The honest (long) answer? Do what you're told, get a job (if able), and don't do anything that'll make you worry about getting caught doing it. Keep God at the center of your recovery and focus on your relationship with Him, not everyone else. There are policies governing the amount of time between phases, but some move up faster than others. I moved into Phase 2 after six weeks because I did the above-mentioned things. Phase 3 happens anywhere between four and six months (I think).
